Sardine Sandwich

Sardine Sandwich

Ingredients:

– 1 can of sardines in oil
– 2 slices of whole wheat bread
– 1 tomato, sliced
– 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
– Fresh lettuce or spinach leaves
– Mayonnaise or hummus (optional)
– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Drain the oil from the sardines and place them on a plate.
2. Toast the slices of bread until they are crispy.
3. Spread mayonnaise or hummus on the bread slices (optional).
4. Place the lettuce or spinach leaves on one slice of bread.
5. Add the tomato and onion slices on top.
6. Place the sardines on top and season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Cover with the other slice of bread.
8. Ready! You can cut the sandwich in half if you prefer
